Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. In my playroom I had a magnetic chalk board along with a pointer and a room full of stuffed animals and my little sister (my students). I did karate starting at the age of four until I was seventeen. When I turned fifteen I was able to teach the "Tiny Tigers" every Tuesday after school. This confirmed what I always knew; I was destined to help shape little minds. After high school I didn't declare my major right away when I was taking my general education requirements. I thought I was going to go into physically therapy. That same summer I got a job as a summer camp teacher at a preschool. That was in 2013 and I never left, going on four years now. I decided to declare my major as Early Childhood Education. I simply fell in love and became passionate about teaching. During my journey here at CSN, I have taken many ECE and EDU classes. I have gained so much as a student, but more importantly a teacher.
My Education Portfolio will show everything I have learned over the years and will also show my accomplishments. One day I hope to make a difference as a teacher.
